Lucien-Édouard Chauvière was an aeronautical engineer who specialized in propellers and made them for Louis Blériot among others.[1][2][3][4] Chauvière's « Intégrale » propeller (contrary to what the name might suggest) was made by attaching thin sheets of wood rather than by carving a single piece.[5]

Our French patent data finds him focused on the materials involved in propellers. At one point this involved “galvanoplastie” and “galvanoplastique”.[6] He made specific reference to material processes elaborated in non-aero patents filed by another inventor.[7]
