Boulton and Paul

Boulton and Paul was a long-established British engineering firm which began making aircraft in 1914 or 1915. It was awarded 1915 contract for FE.2bs. Made R101 parts. Then many others including Sopwith Camels. Became Boulton Paul at some point.

Set up design office 1917 under John Dudley North.

The subunit called Boulton Paul Aircraft appeared much later, in 1934.[1][2]

Locations: Mousehold Aerodrome, apparently with offices at Rose Lane Works, both in Norwich (plus London office by 1920)
